It took years for the existence of the “.music” suffix to be created as a top level domain. There was a lot of controversy about whether it should be “free” to anyone to buy and register. The decision ultimately was made to reserve it for people and companies truly dedicated to music and its creation. I put in my name very early, nearly a year ago. It has required a number of steps as well to get everything done.

I finally have migrated over. Very happy with my new home.
